Stage 3 - Preproduction

In this blog, I will be saying everything I have planned for my film.

The locations the film will be shooting will be at first my friend Natalie's house whos one of the actors in the film being the detective. The second location would be at another friend's house which is Emerson who is the main character in our film. These locations are crucial in the movie because it's the introduction of how everything started in the first place. People who will act in my film are Natalie Edwards as the detective investigating a case and then Emerson Bonilla as Ryan who is the main character in the film and myself as Lisanna.

I choose these actors cause of their availability and time to shoot during this time. To prepare the actors for the shooting is to make up what costumes to wear and for them to practice their lines and actions in the script. For scheduling, we had to put everyone's time into consideration like what day will everyone be able to meet up, how will they get there, and what time of the day we have to film to what ti3me they can arrive.

The film will look kind of mysterious and feel anxiety-inducing, as well as sound like a scary situation because that's the ideal type of horror movie. We will use cinematography to create subtle meanings with shots, and mise-en-scene to create the tone of the shot. For example, when showing an object that seems scary we may darken the lighting around it showing its ominous aura.

We will be recording sounds during production mostly dialogue and a little bit of ambient sounds. We'll be recording the dialogue with Airpods so we can hear the conversation clearly and actually hear the emotion and for the ambient sound, we chose the regular phone microphone. We'll mostly be using sounds-in.

This is the storyboard for our film:

The shooting schedule for over film opening is not clear yet due to each of the actor's time of when they are available.
